Planning a cover up tattoo? We can help! Here’s how we can work with your tattoo artist to get the best possible result.
- Think about the tattoo style and subject matter
Some styles work better for cover ups than others. For instance, a fine line tattoo would need near complete removal – whereas an American Traditional would need minimal fading. - Choose your tattoo artist
Have a chat with your artist. Do they love working on cover up tattoos? (Some don’t!)
See if they think laser would be beneficial.

We can treat the whole tattoo, or your artist can point out specific sections or colours standing in the way of your cover up – either with a photo or coming in person to discuss. - The Check-in
At least 2 months after your treatment, meet with your artist and see what they think. Does it need more laser? Or are you good to get going on that cover up tattoo?
We repeat steps 3 & 4 until your artist says stop. - The Cover Up Tattoo
We pass the baton off to your artist, and they take it from there.
