Permanent Makeup Removal Services in Edmonton, Alberta
TLDR:We can fade or remove microblading, scalp micropigmentation, and permanent freckles. Just know it’s trickier than regular tattoo ink – more variables, more patience required.
Remember when those brows seemed like a great idea? Or maybe they never really matched what you were hoping for.
Either way – no judgment. Trends change, techniques evolve, and what worked for you five years ago might not fit who you are today.
We can help you fade or completely remove cosmetic ink. Just know upfront: this stuff is generally more complicated than regular tattoo ink.
What We Can Do
Microblading or Eyebrow Removal$200/treatment, plus GST (both brows)
You’ll wear our fancy eye shields to protect your eyes while we treat the brows.
Fun fact: You don’t need to shave your actual brows. The laser targets the ink, not your natural hair.

SMP involves tiny dots tattooed on your scalp to mimic natural hair follicles. We can remove it – either half head ($200) or full head ($400) per treatment.

Why Cosmetic Ink is Different
Regular tattoo ink? Pretty straightforward – mostly carbon-based pigments designed to stay put in your skin.
Cosmetic ink? It’s a mixed bag. Literally.
PMU inks often contain complex blends of ingredients to create very specific shades that match current trends. This means:
- More unpredictable responses – We won’t know exactly how your specific ink will react until we test it
- Potential colour shifts – Some cosmetic inks can darken or change hue when hit with the laser (we’ll do a test spot first)
We’ve been doing this since 2016, so we’ve seen a lot. But cosmetic ink always keeps us on our toes.
Why People Remove Permanent Makeup
Your style evolved What felt right at 25 might not fit at 35. That’s normal.
It didn’t turn out right Sometimes the shape, color, or technique just doesn’t match what you envisioned. It happens.
Fading or weird colour shifts Sun exposure and aging can cause cosmetic ink to fade unevenly or shift to unexpected colours (hello, orange brows).
Life changes New career, new aesthetic, new you. Your face should match where you’re at.
You want a do-over Maybe you want to start fresh with a different PMU artist who has a technique you prefer.
Whatever your reason – you don’t need to explain it to us.
Why Choose Legacy for Cosmetic Ink Removal
We’ve been doing this since 2016 Madi trained under Edmonton laser legend Ben Alway and is certified by Lorenzo Kunze Jr of the International Laser Academy. We’ve seen a lot of cosmetic ink – the good, the bad, and the “wait, what is that made of?”
We’re conservative with facial treatments Your face is not the place to be overly aggressive. We’d rather take more sessions and keep your skin safe.
We stay current Annual training with Lorenzo keeps us updated on the latest techniques for handling unpredictable cosmetic inks.
We’re honest If we’re not seeing the progress we’d expect, we’ll tell you. If we think your ink is going to be particularly challenging, we’ll tell you that too.
